Com-ITU is responsible for organising the co-ordination of CEPT actions for the preparation for and during the course of the ITU activities of the Council, Plenipotentiary Conferences, WTDC, WTSA and other meetings as appropriate.
The Committee for ITU Policy (Com-ITU), responsible for co-ordinating CEPT's engagement with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), has announced on 23 September 2015 the appointment of Mr Manuel Costa Cabral (Portugal) as the new Chairman of Com-ITU, a position which also includes the role of one of the three co-Presidents of CEPT.

Delegations from CEPT joined together with over 2500 participants from 171 countries around the world for three-weeks of negotiations to agree key decisions on the future of global telecommunications and Internet development.
Collaboration agreement with the RCC signed on 21st October at the 19th Plenipotentiary Conference of the ITU in Busan, Republic of Korea, laying the foundations for wider cooperation in the field of telecommunications and ICT.
