- Proposed work plan
The first task is to collect a list of required parameters from the ETSI standards which are currently under development. It is therefore proposed that SE21 sends a liaison statement to to ETSI ERM requesting up-to-date information covering the following areas:
- List of draft revised standards
- List of new standards under development for RED
- List of receiver parameters under consideration for each technology/service (i.e. selectivity, blocking levels, receiver sensitivity), and any proposed values
The next ERM meeting following the SE21#88 meeting is in June 2015 (see Annex 3 for full calendar of relevant meetings). A response can be anticipated for the SE21#89 meeting the following week.
Subject to receiving the necessary information from ETSI ERM by SE21#89 in June 2015, SE21 will then need to liaise with relevant SE PTs to seek their views on the parameters received from ETSI. Comments on the parameters will be liaised back to ETSI ERM where appropriate.
Once the RED standards have been approved and finalised by ETSI in June 2016, SE21 will then need to compile a dataset of all finalised receiver parameters, for inclusion in an ECC Report or Recommendation, and SEAMCAT libraries. The target completion date for this work is September 2016. As this is 3 months after the RED finalisation date, it may be challenging to meet this completion date. Therefore it will be important to start work on the ECC deliverable in advance of the RED finalisation, on the assumption that many standards are expected to be in a stable state prior to this.
