ECC PT1#56 in Lyon 4-8 September 2017 agreed to open a correspondence group to respond to the ECC's question on NB-IOT . The ToRs are as follows (see ECC PT1(17)185 SWG C Annex 13):

Background: Response to request from ECC to verify that in MFCN bands other than 900/1800 MHz, placement of NB-IoT ‘guard band’ immediately next to the block edge would not comply with the BEM, so complying with the block mask would thus imply a 200 kHz guard band to an adjacent MFCN block

ECC PT1 proposes to conduct further work, to provide elements requested by ECC. A correspondence group will be set-up to:

-              Discuss the question from ECC

-              To draft for the PT1 report to ECC, to inform ECC in time for the ECC Plenary meeting November 2017 and to provide it to the PT1 official approval mechanism by ECC PT1 mailing list.

Deadline for this activity work should be 30 October 2017.
