119 delegates from 30 CEPT administrations, EC, ITU, 5GAA, ACEA, APWPT,ASECAP, Car2Car, EBU, EHIMA, ESA, EUMETNET, EUROCONTROL, GSA, LoRa Alliance, LPRA, NATO, UIC and ECO met in Brussels, at the kind invitation of EUROCONTROL, 12 to 16 June 2023.

Topics of discussion

1. WG FM approved the 2022 National interference statistics provided by CEPT administrations and collated by the ECO.
2. WG FM endorsed for publication by ECC the new ECC Decision (23)01 on Satellite use in the band 40.5-43.5 GHz.
3. WG FM approved the publication of a revision to the PMSE Recommendation 25-10, based on the proposal by the ECO for a two-stage publication where CEPT administrations were requested to update their national information in Annex 4 and 5 by mid-September 2023, before the second stage of publication.
4. WG FM published ECC Report 352 on 1900 MHz UAS and ECC Report 353 on 1900 MHz Railway use (RMR), alongside an ECC Recommendation (23)01 on 1900 MHz RMR.
5. WG FM endorsed for publication by ECC, the CEPT Report 84 on UWB applications below 10.6 GHz
6. WG FM endorsed the public consultation by ECC of two CEPT Reports on SRD. One in response to the 9^th update of the EU Decision for SRD and the second on millimetric SRD.  Alongside this WG FM also endorsed for public consultation by ECC, the associated update of ECC Decision (22)03 and ERC Recommendation 70-03 Annex 6, to be approved by ECC as a package with the CEPT Reports.
7. WG FM approved, or endorsed for ECC approval a number of new Work Items, including;
   • the implementation of ITU-R Recommendations on earth stations operating TT&C in the S band (2025-2110MHz & 2200-2290MHz)
   • satellite-based direct-to-cellphone (D2C) communications
   • developing new ECC Recommendation on 4 GHz shared use guidance
   • communication to and from satellite using SRD technical parameters.
